A spring day out at some of the best gardens in the Southern Highlands to enjoy the Tulip Time Festival.
With our destination of the Southern Highlands, our first stop in the morning is at Mittagong Park for our first splash of the Highlands Spring Colour and morning tea. After morning tea we visit Corbett Gardens, one of many gardens of the Bowral Tulip Time Festival.
After a lunch stop at Moss Vale RSL Club, we then venture to another garden, Moirdart in Bowral, arguably the best garden in the Highlands. It is a classic 5 acre garden of rare and specimen plants. The garden at Moirdart was started at the same time as the house and remains true to the original design of the landscape gardener Mr. Buckingham and the designer of the house, Mr. Laidley Dowling. From Moirdart we join our waiting coach for a leisurely journey home.
